I fan di Playstation sembrano reclamare a gran voce un remake di The Legend of Dragoon. Poco fa è trapelata la notizia di un possibile remake di Horizon Zero Dawn per PlayStation 5. L’indiscrezione arriva a poche settimane dall’uscita del remake di The Last of Us e molti fan di PlayStation hanno espresso il loro disappunto: si tratta infatti di un gioco abbastanza recente, mentre PlayStation ha una vasta gamma di IP che sono rimaste inattive per anni, tra cui The Legend of Dragoon, e alla cui riedizione dovrebbero essere destinate molte più risorse.
The Legend of Dragoon è uscito sulla PlayStation originale nel 1999. All’epoca, il gioco fu paragonato al franchise di Final Fantasy. Questo potrebbe avere a che fare con l’uccisione di un membro importante del gruppo, simile al modo in cui Aerith morì in Final Fantasy VII. In ogni caso, le vendite del gioco sono state discrete e The Legend of Dragoon ha chiaramente trovato una fanbase appassionata online. Nonostante ciò, PlayStation non ha mai pubblicato un seguito e la serie è rimasta inattiva.
